Andesite awoke early the nest morning, following a slight pain in her side. She sat up, then looked over at Hancock, sleeping soundly in the chair across the room, feet up and his tricorn hat pulled over his eyes.
She moved to pull back her sheets when she noticed she was covered by Hancock's coat. She held it in her hands, unsure of how to react, then finally folded it beside her. She sighed. She understood the ghoul's intent; his coy gestures and playful tone, but in this world, nothing was a guarantee. "Hey, there're the lights," Hancock sighed with relief. "We're almost to Diamond City." He hunted through his bag for a brief moment, then smirked. "Maybe we should reward ourselves," he said in his smooth, inviting tone.
Andesite turned towards the ghoul to see him holding two canisters of jet in his hand. She frowned at him, disagreeing with the constant use of chems. "Maybe we should wait until we're actually there, Hancock?"
He returned one inhaler and said, "your choice," as he took two hits of the drug.
